【问题】以下是SAT考试（Scholastic Assessment Test 美国学术能力评估测试）中的一个句子：
In the little I had learnt
of him at luncheon, a smattering of hearsay garnered by her ten months ago from
the daily papers and stored in her memory for future use, I could imagine, in
spite of my youth and inexperience of the world, that he would resent this

我在百度上查了一下，这个句子有多家网站给出了翻译和分析（几乎都是抄的同一个版本），但其翻译和分析基本上都有错误，比如新东方、无忧雅思、天道教育等网站给出的翻译均为：

这个版本的翻译将 in the
little 翻译成“小的时候”，完全误解了原文的意思和原句的结构。
