请问这里为什么用现在分词 spending 而不用不定式 to spend 呢？

First 后面不是要用不定式的吗？

网友只需要记住以下2种情况：

【一】如果当主语是“2个单数指示代词即(this/that)”或者1个单数人称代词“it”的时候，后面通常用“that定语从句”作定语修饰前面“time”

【1】This/That/It is the first time that 主语+have/has done sth

【主句用is,后面从句用现在完成时态have/has+过去分词(done)】

This/That/It is the first time that she has visited the Great Wall.

This/That/It is the first time that she has come to Beijing.

【2】This/That/It was the first time that 主语+had done sth

【主句用was,后面从句用过去完成时态had+过去分词(done)】

This/That/It was first time that she had visited the Great Wall.

This/That/It was the first time that she had come to Beijing.

【二】如果当主语是“2个单数指示代词即(this/that)”或者1个单数人称代词“it”且序数词前有形容词性物主代词(one's)修饰限定的时候，后面通常用“动名词(doing)”作定语修饰前面“time”

【3】This/That/It is/was one's first time doing sth

This/That/It was/is her first time visiting the Great Wall

This/That/It was/is his first time coming to Beijing.

【三】当主语是人称代词或者表示人的名词作主语的时候，后面可使用不定式作后置定语，也可以使用定语从句作定语。

She/He/I/Tom/Mary is/was the+序数词+名词+to do sth/主语+have/has/done sth

She/He/Tom/Mary is the first person to get here.

She/He/Tom/Mary is the first person that has got here.

She/He/Tom/Mary was the first person that had got here.
