过去分词修饰问题
我理解严格讲，refer to 这里本应该修饰一个名词性短语。但在此语境这样使用也不会产生歧义。另外，我想作者造句时想到了refer to,顺便就这样使用了。本来此句应该这样：...never had dreams in colour, referred to at the time as "technicolour" dreams in the scientific community.
