half an apple可以换成half of an apple吗
你的这两个名词可以替换，但有些情况不行，如表示多少，大小等概念的名词只能用half，例如：half an hour, half a meter, 不能用of. 另外，如果后面是代词，只能用half of, 如half of them.

He left the door opened 也不能算错，不如left the door open更多见。因为既然open 本身也是形容词，何必用opened呢。
