介词in、of之后是否要加冠词(the, an,a)

例如：操作人员必须经过培训、考核合格后方能上岗作业。

Operators must be trained and qualified in examination before they can work on their posts.

examination本身是可数名词，这里in examination之间是否要加the？

我觉得是中式英语的原因

qualified就是qualifed，已经内含了pass the exam了。qualified in examination 这种搭配本身就不可取。

所以要么删除in examination（实际的确少了冠词），要么改用pass the examination

Operators must be trained and pass the examination before applying for the posts.

合格了也不代表就能工作，下一步是申请。所以改apply for.

examination 表示“审查”“考核”时通常是不可数名词，你查查词典就知道了。

这里examination 和in 连用，是泛指，变为抽象名词。所以不用冠词或复数。如果特指具体的考试，可以有复数或冠词。例: 1. Massey University is able to provide assistance in examinations for students with a permanent impairment or other conditions such as injury, pregnancy or OOS (Occupational Overuse Syndrome). 2. In an examination, a question paper consists of 12 questions divided into two parts.
