据我了解，at the airport 比较常见，in the airport 也有出现，

请教各位老师，两者有何区别呢？是否跟 in 与 at 的区别有关？at 用在小地方前面, in 用在大地方前面。

1）所谓at用在小地方，in用在大地方，这个方法可以用来应急，但一定要注意，这个大小是没有客观标准的，完全取决于说话人的主观看法。

2）如果指同一个处所，上面的方法就不管用了。所以还得从in和at的不同语意着手。用in还是用at，语意是不一样的：

所有in的用法都是从“包含于内”这个基本语意延申而来；后面接立体空间表明范畴边界（a boundary），也就是陈老师说的强调立体空间范围；而所有at的用法也是由“在此地”这个核心语意延展而来，常接地理位置表明确的处所地点（a spot），也就是陈老师说的强调某个点。

She is in the airport. → 把机场当作一个范围 = in a boundary；

She is at the airport. → 把机场当作一个定点= at a spot；

所以，地点前面用at，还是用in，完全取决于说话者说话时，把那个地点看着是一个范围，还是一个定点。黎老师所说的“无论机场大小，都用 at the airport 不用 in the airport”从他给的例句可以看出，是把机场作为一个定点的地理位置，当然用at。

at the airport 和 in the airport 都可以说，其区别与“大”“小”无关。

一般说来，把若“机场”看作一个“点”，则用 at；若指在“机场”的建筑物内，则用介词 in。如：

Our plane landed at the airport. 我们的飞机在机场降落。(只能用 at)

Meeting Gail in / at the airport was purely coincidental. 在机场遇见盖尔完全是巧合。(用 at, in 均可)
