or 后面是不是or （an idea of）that，an idea of 省略了？可是为什么 of 后面可以跟that？我印象当中介词后面要跟that从句要加一个it，是这样吗？就是说 an idea of it that…这样对嘛？

the idea of sth. of后接名词。如果of后为wh-从句，则of可以省略，也可以保留。如果后接that从句，而that从句不可以作of的宾语，则必须省略of，得到the idea that... 。所以你的句子应该是，an idea of what sth is like or an idea that sth is going to happen.
