People who call instead of text.根据句意，call 和 text 都是动词，是并列关系。那么 instead of 就是连词而非介词。这跟 rather than 同理，若是介词，后接动名词，若是连词，则跟前面的谓语动词并列，而且时态也相同。因此，就成分而言，call 和 text 是定语从句的并列谓语动词。
