stop/prevent sb from doing sth, from doing为介词短语作状语。不是宾补。因为 sb 和 from doing无法构成逻辑主谓关系。

为什么不是逻辑主谓关系
prevent sb from catching cold 预防某人得感冒。介词短语from catching cold为与宾语有关的状语（即catching的逻辑主语为宾语，而不是主语），但from介词短语并不是宾语补足语。因为你不能说 Tom is from catching cold.这个句子。所以这个句子的动词句型为SVOA，而不是SVOC。
