书上都说 either 只用于两者，若用于三者要用 any。

同时说all用于三者，不能用于两者。

但是，下面这句呢？感觉不对吧？

You can take either of them. They are all free.

此问题似乎存在争议。援引陈敦金的观点如下，供您参考：

在很久以前，either可以指“any one”，如either of these three。A Dictionary of Contemporary American Usage(CAU)上说，这样的用法是罕见的，已有300多年的历史，而且受到一些语法学家的指责。但是在Poe,Emerson,O.W.Holwes等人的作品里都有这样的用法。而Oxford English Dictionary把它当作标准英语。如果按照陈敦金提供的依据，上述句子是可以接受的。但是，他的这一观点确实和平时的使用有些背离。
