这样的情况为什么用 should 是错的

If you don't study hard, you should fail in the test.

书上说：这里的 should 用得不对，为什么啊？

一般说来，should 可以表示预测“好”的结果。如：

正：If you study hard, you should pass the test.

但英语通常不用 should 来预测“不好”的情况。如：

误：If you don't study hard, you should fail in the test.

上面这句可改为：

正：If you don't study hard, you will probably fail in the test.
