请问Covering an area about three times the size of Yellowstone national park,the GPNP Will be one of the first national parks in the country.中的About three times the size of……是作area的后置定语还是其他成分?如果是做定语是省略了which is的结构吗?请求老师们的指导

可以理解为定语，但不是省略，就是这种习惯用法。
