你好，我认为应该是定语。现在分词作定语的用法。如果是单个的现在分词作定语，放在名词之前；但是如果是现在分词短语作定语，则为了平衡句式，就要把短语后置。
句子主干为：I was a Puerto Rican, faced with two white children and a white lady，with a baby…, needing …,
lady在此句中做的是faced with的宾语，with结构修饰lady，作定语，needing现在分词短语也修饰lady，作词的定语。
