regret doing与regret having done的区别

I never regretted not accepting his offer, for it was not where my interest lay. 老师们好，这一题目本为选择题，选项中既有 not accepting，又有 not having accepted，请问为什么是选择not accepting呢？按理说 not having accepted与 not accepting表达的意思相似，为什么不可以选择 not having accepted的呀？

赞同龙老师的解答。regret表“后悔；遗憾”时，后面常接动名词的一般式，有时还可接完成式，偶尔有人用不定式的完成式。例如：

I regret telling you the news. 我后悔告诉你这个消息。

She regrets having said it. 她后悔说了这话。

I regret to have told him the thing. 我后悔告诉了他这件事。

▲如果句子带有具体的过去时间状语，通常只用动名词的一般式。例如：

He regrets cheating her last night. 他很后悔昨晚欺骗了她。

你的句子用not having accepted与 not accepting都可以。
