An awful thought has just struck me.
What struck me was their enthusiasm for the work.
I was struck by their enthusiasm for the work.
It strikes me that nobody is in favour of the changes.
It suddenly struck me how we could improve the situation.
A good idea occurred to me.
His name just did not occur to my memory.
It occurred to me that he might be lying.
It never occurred to me to insure the house.
Didn’t it occur to you to phone them about it?
