more为much的比较级，被副词a lot修饰。a lot more为存在句的主语。to looking after yourself为介词+动名词短语构成的介词短语作存在句的状语。than引导比较状语从句，补全后的状语从句为：than there is to simply lifting weights.

句子的意思是：你应该更多的照顾自己，而不是仅仅举重。

海词词典有一个类似的例句，不过比较的是主语，而不是状语。

There is much more to modern Munich than beer gardens.

= There is much more to modern Munich than there are beer gardens.

= There is much more than beer gardens to modern Munich.

这里more than合起来意为“不止、不仅仅”。
