我知道，副词 far 可用于修饰形容词和副词的比较级，如：
She swims far better than I do.  她游泳要比我游得好多了。
The prize is far fewer deaths and injuries on the roads. 奖赏使交通伤亡人数大幅度下降。
His illness is far more serious than we thought. 他的病比我们想象的要严重得多。
但它可修饰形容词和副词的原级吗？好像很少。但是看到这样两个句子：
This agreement falls far short of the ideal. 这个协定远不完美。
The hotel fell far short of their expectations. 旅馆远没有他们预期的那么好。
这个 far 好像是修饰形容词 short 的，当然这个 fall short of 好像是个固定搭配，如果不是这个固定搭配呢，far 可以修饰 short 吗？除此之外，far 可修饰其他形容词和副词的原级吗？谢谢专家老师解答！
