赞同曹老师的解答。我(ˇˍˇ) 想～从另一个角度谈谈tell的用法，我主要谈两个问题：

第一个问题：tell后面可以接双宾语，即：tell somebody something。

虽然如此，但并非任何名词都可以充当其直接宾语，只有少数名词如：story, tale, joke, lie, secret, truth, news, name, experience等词语才可以，何为直接宾语？它们必须是“讲述，告诉”的直接内容。我们可以说：

tell me a story

tell us a joke

tell him the news

tell them the secret

tell you the truth

......

如果不是tell的直接内容，那么，我们不能说：

tell us the accident

tell him your family

tell me the film

tell us your father

......

上述表达都是不符合逻辑的，因为the accident, your family, the film, your father不能充当tell的直接内容。这时，需要在这些名词之前加上about或of才正确。

tell us about the accident = tell us something about the accident

tell him about your family = tell him smoething about your family

tell me about the film = tell me something about the film

tell us about your father = tell us something about your father

第二个问题：tell her my experience 和 tell her of/about experience 的区别。

这两个说法都对，但是有区别。关于这个区别，首先比较以下两个句子有何异同：

I’ve read the novel and I think it is very instructive. 我读过那本小说，我认为它很有教育意义。

I’ve read about the novel, but I wonder whether it is worth reading at all. 我读过那本小说的介绍，但我不知道它是否值得一读。

read和read about为何有如此大的差别呢？原来，在read the novel中，read是及物动词,是一种直接的阅读；而在read about the novel中，read是不及物动词，是一种间接的阅读，可以理解为在它后面省略了something, 即：read something about the novel。又如：

I know about/of him, but I don’t know him. 我听说过他，但我不认识他。

We heard about/of the pop singer, but unfortunately we haven’t heard her sing. 我们听说过这位流行歌手，但很遗憾我们没有亲耳听她演唱过。

I am not a writer, and I can’t write a novel. But I can write about a novel. 我不是作家，我不会写小说。但我可以写小说评论。

所以，tell her my experience意思是：把我的经历直接告诉他。tell her of/about experience意思是：告诉她有关我的经历的一些事情。（不是经历本身）
