be to do sth与be doing sth

The best way to learn new words is reading English magazines.
My dream is to be a teacher.
为什么一个是 to do，一个是doing？有什么具体用法吗？

be to do 这种结构可指将来，常表示“意愿、计划、安排、决定等”。

动名词（短语）和动词不定式（短语）都可以做表语，所以，The best way to learn new words is reading English magazines. 和 My dream is to be a teacher. 都是正确的。
