have got to主要用于一般现在时,虽然也可用于一般过去时,但用had to比had got to更普通。如:I couldn’t go to the party. I had to finish my project. MPs voice public dissatisfaction at having to pay higher taxes. (不说:MPs voice public dissatisfaction at having got to pay higher taxes.)Day after day Karen was having to do the work of two people. (不说:Karen was having got to do...)It’s a nuisance to have to wait so long. (不说:It’s a nuisance to have got to wait so long.)所以有的语法著作提示:通常用have to比have got to保险。

Economy is one powerful motive for camping, since after the initial outlay upon equipment, or through hiring it, the total expense can be far less than the cost of hotels.

go broke 是习语(非正式用法),意思是“破产”“花光钱财”(一般词典都可以查到的):He went broke after he lost his job. Balton went broke twice in his career. The company could go broke if the economy doesn't improve soon. They went broke trying to keep up with the Joneses. The majority of small businesses go broke within the first twenty-four months.

我觉得不妥,因为 his three brothers 并不包括 he,同样,my three sisters 也并不包括我。
