这是择比结构。与more A than B 刚好相反，less A than B 肯定B，否定A，而前者肯定A，否定B。通常的翻译为与其说是..., 不如说是...。由于这个句子用了副词probably，所以第一种翻译更好一些。第二种翻译没有翻出probably的意思。
