现在完成时的使用疑问
Most of them (have been) very successful, be为静态动词表示状态，这种状态持续到说话时，现在人们还是喜欢读他的大部分小说。but the last one (didn't get) very good reviews. 谓语动词为动态动词表示动作，这些动作是过去的动作，这最后一本小说的问世时间，说话人假定听话人是知道的。

这里的并列为什么用形容词
regulatory (risks), competitive (risks) and intrinsic risks这样你能理解前二个形容词省略了risks吧。由于第三个形容词intrinsic被介词短语to its own model, 所以第三个形容词改为定语从句（其形容词的作用）。而risks用替代词those替代。

can在此表示理论上的可能性。I can admire his courage to some extent.= It is possible for me to admire his courage to some extent.这种可能性在理论上是成立的。但说话人并没有明确说明自己是否admire his courage.

even if从句的用法
even if 引导的让步从句带有假设意义，假设的情况与事实相反，就用虚拟语气，假设的情况如果有可能是事实，就用陈述语气。这和if引导条件从句是一样的。

这里不是状语。三个并列的谓语动词都是现在完成时，第二个和第三个省略了has, 只保留了过去分词。你要按照现在完成时去理解。这就是并列的谓语。要学会阅读并列结构。
