being done 动名词做主语

Being tired, he gave up exercising this morning.

这里现在分词的被动式用得不妥，改为：

Tired, he gave up exercising this morning.

但是being tired 作为动名词的被动式做主语，又是允许的，比如：

Being tired makes me feel uncomfortable.

虽然动名词不允许省略being, 但是这里逻辑是否怎样才能说的通呢？
