老师以上句子We will do it as he told us to后面为什么要用to?这个to好像用错了?

下面从书上抄的类似的句子没有用to.

as he told us to=as he told us to do. do 省略了。You must do everything as I told you的用法和上句差不多。也有使用to的用法。如外刊例句：
