伴随状语的理解困惑

Armed with information, they will be able to explain to you the plight of the orangutans.

我们学校老师说，armed with 是过去分词作伴随，但是我们所不能理解的是过去分词包含2个方面，一个是完成，一个被动，

完成能够理解，我们同学们不能理解的是“被动” - 为什么会有被动概念呢？很奇怪啊？

我们人自己装备某个东西，用……来武装自己，显然是主动的，那么，为什么又说armed with 和 they 之间是被动关系呢？

这个被动的含义，被动的概念，怎么理解呢？

被动主要指的是英语的被动用法，即由被动语态变化而来。Armed with information,=When they are armed with information, 你也可以用主动形式，即Arming themselves with information, 英语里一般现在分词表示主动，过去分词表示被动。

我再给你个类似的主动用法的外媒例句：Every evening, arming himself with sword and buckler, he took up his position as guard at the royal bedside, and walked round it all night，sword in hand.
