for far longer是 for long的比较级，在主句中作时间状语，为比较对应项。其对应项为than分句的时间状语，而比较对应项在比较分句是必须省略的。所以这个比较分句省略的比较对应项是不可补全的。这已经是than从句最完整的形式了。
