5 关于不定式作结果状语的问题
老师您好，在书上看到这个句子不懂：”people use a box with an opening ,big enough for monkey to slide its hand in "
第一个问题是：在书上看到 adj+enough to do 是作为结果状语，我有点不太理解，不定式后面的In，不是在说明它是后置定语修饰名词opening的吗?本质是后置定语做结果状语吗？
第二个问题是：在结果状语中，主句中的行为动作或是主语的某种属性是引起结果的原因吗？ 这里看起来好像big enogh 是引起”猴子能把手伸进去“的原因
第三个问题是：adj+enough 在这里它是作为名词opening的补足语吗？ 是否相当于 "the opening is big enough for the monkey to slide its hand in "？ enough 的作用是否类似于so ...that，相当于"the opening is so big that the monkey can slide its hand in it" 如果去掉enough 是否形容词就不能充当被修饰名词的补足语了？或者只是不构成结果状语而已，依然可以作为被修饰名词的补足语

这个句子中with an opening为a box的定语。big enough for monkey to slide its hand in 为形容词短语，作an opening的非限制性定语，等于which is big enough for monkey to slide its hand in.
副词enough修饰big, 不定式复合结构 for monkey to slide its hand in 补足enough意义的不足，说明enough在哪一方面enough。所以不定式为enough的方面状语。
enough to do sth并非都是表示结果。例如，He has enough money to buy the whole city. 他有足够买下整个城市的钱。这个不定式就不能理解为结果状语，因为不定式的动作压根就没有发生，哪来的结果。这个不定式只不过表示主语钱多的程度，为程度状语。
如果不定式的动作实际发生了，则不定式可分析为结果状语。例如：
He managed to earn enough money to feed his family. 这个不定式可以分析为结果状语。
所以，enough to do sth, 不定式可能是结果状语、程度状语、或方面状语。
