如何理解as well 含义和用法

请教老师：I thought it as well to put one more question. 中，如何理解as well 含义和用法? 还有这种think+it+as well+ to do sth结构中，it是形式宾语，to do sth是真正的宾语吧？

其实就是think+it+as well+ to do st = think + “to do sth" + as well = as well 是"to do sth"的宾补吗？如果是这样，为什么不是as good作“to do sth”的宾补呢？

首先要明白 be (just) as well 是个习语(随便查本词典都可查到)，意思是 to be a good thing to do, or to be a lucky thing to happen or be done，相当于汉语的“最好”。如：

It would be as well to let him go. 最好让他走。

It’s as well to expect the worst. 最好作最坏的打算。

It would be (just) as well to phone and say we will be late. 最好打个电话说我们得迟到。

你的句子中：it 是宾语，as well 是宾补，后面的不定式为真正的宾语。由于as well 在这里的用法为习语，所以不能换成 as good。
