老师：this 和 that 有时作状语用，表示“程度”，意谓“这么”和“那么”。

请问 these 和 those 能做状语吗？如果能做状语的话，可否也表示“程度”？

没错，this 和 that 可以用作副词，表示程度。如：
It’s about this high. 大约有这么高。
It’s about this high. 约摸这样高。
Is it this hot every day? 每天都这样热吗?
Can you afford this much? 你花得起这么多钱吗?
The book is about this thick. 那本书大约有这么厚。
I wasn’t that clever. 我没有那么聪明。
It isn’t all that cold. 还没冷到那种程度。
Don't exaggerate! It wasn't that bad! 别夸张！没那么差。
I know some people left before the end, but was it really that bad? 我知道有些人没等结束就离开了，但真有那么糟吗？
但是，these, those 不能用作副词。其实，关于这个问题，你随便查一本词典便知。
