如何理解连系动词feel用sth作主语？

feel 用作连系动词时，有时可见到用 sth 作主语的句子。如：

Nothing feels right in our new house.

我的问题是：nothing 指物事，它怎么能够 feel 呢？这类句子应如何理解？怎么翻译？

feel 用作连系动词时，它的主语可以是“人”，也可是“物”。

一、以人作主语，表示人的感觉。如：

I feel less tired today than I felt yesterday. 我今天感到没有昨天累。

He says he feels doubtful about the new plan. 他说他对新的计划感到怀疑。

二、以物作主语，注意以下两种情况：

1. 表示事物摸起来给人的感觉（含有汉语“手感如何”的意味）。如：

This material feels soft. 这种料子摸上去柔软。

Silk feefs soft and smooth. 绸子摸起来柔软光滑。

The seaweed felt cold and slimy. 海藻摸起来冷冰冰黏糊煳的。

2. 表示事物给人思想或内心的感觉。如：

Nothing feels right in our new house. 我们新房子里，样样都觉得不对劲。

My stomach feels full after eating the ice cream. 吃了冰淇淋之后我感到饱了。

Even with the heater full on, the room felt cold. 即便是把加热器开到最大，房间还是很冷。

有时还可用不定式或动名词作主语，此时通常在句首使用形式主语it，并将不定式或动名词移至句末。如：

It felt weird going back to Liverpool. 回到利物浦后，感觉很奇怪。

It felt strange to be back in my old school. 我回到母校有一种生疏的感觉。
