1. Across the Tasman 是地点状语修饰全句。
2. above 相当于beyond, over, 是介词。不能把threshold看作earn 的宾语，从结构和语义都是说不通的。这个介词短语做状语，修饰earning.
3. from是off的意思，和exclude 一同翻译为“排除在。。。之外。
