含分词的复合形容词自身存在着“成分关系”或“修饰关系”，而且它与被修饰词也存在逻辑上的成分关联。通常有以下几类：1、形容词+感官类的现在分词+被修饰名词，逻辑关系为：“表语+系动词+主语”，例如：ordinary-looking man, soft-feeling silk, reasonable-sounding idea, sweet-tasting food...2、副词+现在分词+被修饰名词，逻辑关系为：“状语+谓语+主语”，例如：hard-working people, fast-running train, angrily-shouting man...3、名词+现在分词+被修饰名词，逻辑关系为：“宾语+谓语+主语”，例如：peace-loving people, meat-eating animal, game-playing boy...4、名词+过去分词+被修饰名词，逻辑关系为：“主语+谓语+宾语”，例如：man-made satellite, snow-covered field, computer-controlled vehicle...5、副词+过去分词+被修饰名词，逻辑关系为：“状语+被动式谓语+主语”，例如：deep-set eyes, easily-understood article, quickly-solved problem... 另外，你的第3个问题属于上面的第4条。

网友查一下词典就知道了。这里的came up the road是正确的， up是介词，相当于along。如《牛津词典》walk up (ie along) the road 沿着路走再请看《韦氏高阶英汉双解词典》上的介绍：up prep1：to, toward, or at a higher point on (something) 往较高处，向较高处；在较高处He climbed up the ladder. 他爬上梯子。She had to walk her bike up the hill. 她不得不推着自行车上山。The bathroom is up the stairs. 卫生间在楼上。2：along the course or path of (something) 沿着……；顺着……Go up the street/road and turn left. 沿着这条街/路走，然后左转。We walked up the street to meet them. 我们沿街走过去接他们。They live just up the block from us. 他们就住在我们前面的街区。I paddled the canoe up the river. 我们沿着小河划独木舟。The ship sailed up the coast. 这艘船沿着海岸航行。Her office is all the way up the hall on the right. 沿大厅一路过去右侧就是她的办公室。

有人认为这样用的as it is是“宾语补足语从句”，也有人认为是“方式状语从句”，我个人倾向于后者。as it is在句中修饰谓语动词leave“留下”的方式。as it is和as they are常放在句末表示“照旧；照原样；照实际情况”等意义。例如：Sorry, I want to leave it as it is. 抱歉, 我想维持原状。You should state the facts as they are. 你应该照实际情况陈述事实。▲as it is还可表示“照现在的情况；事实上；实际上”，常放在句首或句中。例如：As it is, we needn't replace the equipment. 照目前的情况，我们不必更换设备。As it was, I declined his offer. 事实上，我拒绝了他提供的帮助。
