我知道该句是由The town was rebuilt in 1990, and since then...将then转化为when得来的，但then和when指代的是什么呢，是in 1990吗？

2. The output this year is five times what it was ten years ago. 此处what引导的是什么类型的名词性从句？我有两个想法：

①此处相当于A is five times B，但“A+be+倍数+B”是否是一个固定结构？如果该结构存在，what引导的是什么从句，是表语从句吗？

②此处可以写成The output this year is five times (more than) what it was ten years ago.然后将括号内容删除了，那此时what就是than后面的宾语从句。这二者中是否有正确思路？

then=at the time mentioned=1990这个时间点，然后since+时间点，就变成了and since then--since when。你可以看帖子，我觉得逻辑转换灵活点，不是非要变成in 1990的
