be动词缩写疑问

You see the vegetation‘s changed hugely.really long grass.And immediately this feels like an area which could harbor wildlife.

这里的vegetation‘s changed怎么理解，在名词后面加s不就是所有格了吗？is动词不可以缩写吧？

什么所有格，这不是胡说八道码，后面是changed ，明显是has缩写！
