老师们好，请问这个句子能否用the other one替代another one?

Students are taught in two languages, English and another one, such as French, German or Japanese。这里为什么不用the other one?

the other one是特指的，总体只有二个，提及一个后剩下的那个就是特指的。如果总体为三个或以上，提及一个后，再提另一个，听话人无法知道这另一个是剩下二个或以上中的哪一个，所以为泛指，不可以用the other one, 只能用another one.
