比较级的对称与省略

1）My car is bigger than yours.

2) A chimp has as much I.Q. as a child of five or six does.

第1）句中，yours后面没有is，只有my car和yours对称。

那么2）句中的does是否可以省略呢？将chimp和a child of five or six对称。

第一句的is可以加上，第二句的does可以省略。
