关于后置定语of和to的用法区别

各位老师好，这是在网上搜到的“2021年6月CATTI二级笔译真题”中的一段As the global labour force increases, not enough new jobs are being generated to absorb new entrants to the labour market.

请问new entrants to the labour market中to the labour market作为new entrants 的后置定语，为什么用介词to而不用of？not enough前面是不是省略了什么？

为什么要用of 呢？不要用汉语思维！entrants 与动词enter （进入）有关，进入到劳动力市场的人，to表示进入的地点，是名词entrants 要求的介词。not enough 作定语修饰主语 new jobs. 前面什么也没有省略。
