as…as的翻译

有一个这样的例句It is hard to imagine that something as small as a molecule has weight，but it does.

译文是这样的：分子如此小的东西有重量，这是难以想象的，但分子确实有重量。

as…as没有译成像…一样，而是如此。之前在博客上看到过这种用法，但是找不到了，能帮我找一下吗？或者帮我讲解一下也行。

It is hard to imagine that something as small as a molecule has weight，but it does.

这个比较结构，就是指 “像分子一样小的东西”，因为你找不出跟分子一样的这种东西，那 somethjng 自然就是指分子了。所以，译文是正确的。
