我估计传统语法的意思是不能只加现在分词，也就是说不能把它当作介词宾语中心词。 现在分词做的是定语，后面有一个名词，不受限制。 这样想，比如说介词后面应该也不能只加形容词。 I'm fond of pretty dogs.则可以。
