你理解错了。我们说非谓语动词只有体的形式，没有时的形式，是因为一个现在分词doing表示的动作仅从形式上是看不出是发生在过去、现在还是将来，这并不是说分词表示的动作没有时间意义。现在分词的时间意义取决于主句。和主句的时间相同。主句为过去时，doing和主句的时间相同，也表示过去。主句为现在，现在分词的时间也是现在了。所以你用opening，而主句为现在时，opening的时间就成了现在。这显然成了逻辑错误，因为状语提示1955年。所以只能用过去分词作状语。过去分词的动作是发生在主句谓语时间之前的。
